I followed your instructions but PLEASE I still need help? Anyone??? - Rmajano - Jul 12, 2007

I placed the downloaded files with .trk and .pool extension under the folder where you told me to put it and it did'nt work. Again I need to know how to use or play with the coaster that I download? Any help would be appreciated. I know theres alot of experts out there, I'm reaching out to you. Show me like I was 4 yrs old, please.

Owh!
Did you mean a ride or so. I thought you ment a park.

for rides:
the .trk files of coasters go under C:/.../RCT3/tracks/coasters/[type of coaster]
the .trk files for tracked rides go under C:/.../RCT3/TrackedRides/[type of ride here]

for others:
the .dat files of pools go under C:/Documents & Settings/[user name]/RCT3/Pools

the .fwd files of firework (+ laser and water)shows go under C:/Documents & Settings/[user name]/RCT3/Fireworks

the .frw files of firework effects goes under C:/Documents & Settings/[user name]/RCT3/FireworkEffects

the .las files of laser effects go under C:/Documents & Settings/[user name]/RCT3/LaserEffects

the .,,, files (don't know which type of file, as I haven't got any) of laser writing go under C:/Documents & Settings/[user name]/RCT3/LaserWriting

the .wjt files of the water effects/jets go under C:/Documents & Settings/[user name]/RCT3/WaterJetEffects

NOTE: If you haven't got an expansions installed, all of this (so only the fireworks, as you don't have any others) goes under the RCT3 folder on the *probably* program files/atari.

For the CS sets:
ALL of the FOLDERS of the CS sets go to C:/.../RCT3/Style/Themed/[name of cs set]
This should contain at least the following things:
a unique.ovl file
a common.ovl file
a map with .ovl files

NOTE: Do NOT leave any zip/rar files in the RCT3/Style folder.
NOTE II: If you unpack a zip/rar file, there sometimes comes a readme file. I suggest you always read this if you don't want your game to crash.
NOTE III: Do NOT, and I repeat, do NOT change any names of the cs set folders or any names of the .ovl file.
NOTE IV: If you get the following error you probably didn't do one or more of the instructions correct (error: no :svd for :sid)

Did you mean this?

You should put a hypertwister coaster named Hype like this C:/.../RCT3/tracks/coasters/Hypertwister/[coaster should be saved here]

Umm I could'nt find the folder tracks before the coaster folder, and I could'nt find "tracked rides" folder under the coaster folder? I'm lost. Should I delete the game and reload it?

The RCTgo Downloader Express should solve all of your problems.

RE: I followed your instructions but PLEASE I still need help? Anyone??? - Schaffie - Jul 17, 2007

Wait a seconds, the .trk files for tracked rides go under C:/.../RCT3/Tracks/TrackedRides.
So the TrackedRides folder isn't under coaster, but in the same.
Also, try looking in both documents&settings and in my computer.
Else, google is your friend.
