buy? - gibbsies - Jul 18, 2007

ok im thinking about buying deluxe edition(or watever the one is called that has both expansions) so what i want to know is whether i should buy the expansions seperately - since i already have the original - or just go with the deluxe edition?

RE: buy? - gibbsies - Jul 19, 2007

nevermind, i already bought the deluxe edition

It depends on the price a bit, but if it weren't much, I'ld have bought it.
Good choice anyhow, it's fun to play those old games again (you just have to get used to the controls).

If you already have the original, I would have bought Wild! and Soaked! seperate. If you didn't, I'd recomend RCT3: Platinum, which is only $30 and has every game in it.

I usually buy the original with the first add on pack on one disk. THEN buy the second add on pack alone.

You DO end up playing JUST the second add on pack disk in the CD Drive. If THAT disk dies, then all you need to do is buy the add on pack, NOT the whole set on one disk.

It's CHEAPER to replace, should anything ungodlike happen to the game disk.

Even if it does, you have the original AND the first add on pack, so it's not like you're RCT-less.

In any RCT case, buy the original and the first expansion together, and the second expansion separately. Works out the same way. You can still play RCT 1 or RCT 2, if the second expansion disk should fail. You just won't be getting what the third disk has.

However, Thrillville is just one disk. Doubt it'll help you there.
