Food Court Pool Preview - lordddark462 - May 25, 2013 Hey all here are some screen shots of my pool/food court I'm making. I made a slide that goes through the middle of the pool, I thought it was cool in the opening images that it shows. I also made the little buildings to house some custom shops (swim suit, inflatables and sun cream) I don't have any CS installed yet I would love to be able to download a pack of them instead of individually. RE: Food Court Pool Preview - DorneyPark5 - May 26, 2013 wow man looks great! the slides that go underground looks cool! RE: Food Court Pool Preview - lordddark462 - May 26, 2013 Thanks. If I knew how to make a video I would. Considering redoing the slides so they swap sides the left comes out on the right pool ect. Btw im from PA about 45 min from Dorney park. RE: Food Court Pool Preview - FlightToAtlantis - May 26, 2013 Very nice! Someone who takes his pools, pool rides and food courts seriously. RE: Food Court Pool Preview - lordddark462 - May 26, 2013 So I'm working on putting a building around where you come back out of the ground and I'm having issues with the roofs. Anyone good with buildings or roofs? Here is what I have so far. I also gave up on getting them to swap sides I just Don't like how they turn out. I have issues with symmetry and since i can't get them to be exact mirrors its not happening. RE: Food Court Pool Preview - FlightToAtlantis - May 27, 2013 Move to a blank flat area of your park. Build the roofs directly on the blank flat ground exactly as you would like the roofs to be if you were actually building them above your ride where it comes out of/goes into the ground. When you’re done build a flat ride and place it several tiles above the roofs you just built. Save the roofs you just built with the flat ride – save roofs with the flat ride as scenery. Go back to where your ride comes out of/goes into the ground. Build there your flat ride that you just saved with your roof scenery. Use SHIFT to raise or lower the roofs to suit your needs. When your roofs with the flat ride are in place, place the ride there which will also place the roofs without the intersection issues you’re having. Delete the flat ride. Presto! RE: Food Court Pool Preview - lordddark462 - May 27, 2013 It pissed me off to much. The issue I was having was making a multi level roof. I wanted it to come down from 4 to 3 to 2 floors high. However it seems that is not possable with the bambo wall set. I may switch to Atlantis and see if that helps. If that doesn't I'm prob going to need to find some custom scenery and figure out how that works. I downloaded a few but sadly they didn't include a readme to show what folder to install it to. I'm also working on a splitting coaster that comes through that part of the park. So I pretty much did nothing today. So that means I was working on my park. I managed to get a building that looks ok. I figured out how to record videos in game. They don't seem to be the best quality but I don't know how to change them. This is the Roller Coaster: http://youtu.be/KuSTgxCU0qs Here's the Aqua Blaster: http://youtu.be/lXARIpHe3g8 I don't know how long it will take for them to be posted this is the first time I've ever posted a video to youtube. RE: Food Court Pool Preview - FlightToAtlantis - May 28, 2013 While your older bamboo building was nicely made I think your new building is an improvement. If you'd like more details on how to figure out CS check out this post and AlexWholbruck's following it: http://forums.rctgo.com/thread-7362-post-83286.html#pid83286 If the site takes you to the top of the page it’s post #2 and Alex’s is post #3. The great thing about CS is there are no intersection issues. I’m afraid the only way to get great quality videos for YouTube is to film them directly from RCT3 but that’s extremely laggy. To do this you’ll need to start the video recording then leave your computer for fifteen or thirty minutes to do something else while the game records a few minutes of film. However once you’ve done that the video will look great. As far as I know videos are available on YouTube as soon as your upload is completed. RE: Food Court Pool Preview - lordddark462 - May 28, 2013 Thanks I was able to get some CS installed. I found some that adds extra to the Atlantis walls. I hope I can figure it out there are orange loads of things with it. RE: Food Court Pool Preview - FlightToAtlantis - May 29, 2013 There are some fabulous Atlantis add-on CS sets out there. I would say the two Atlantis CS sets I have are probably some of the larger CS sets available. Sometimes opening up a CS set can be daunting. There are seemingly hundreds of items almost none of which you know already what they are for. The only thing to do is to create a workbench park in sandbox and experiment repeatedly. Remember not every park you open will end up a masterpiece – some parks we make are to fine tune our skills. The good thing about CS is that although when you first open the set there seems to be no rhyme or reason, 9 times out of ten you will find that the items do follow a system. |
