A Quick History of RCTgo
RCTgo was founded on January 30, 2005 an InvisionFree forum under the name "Belloman Studios." It later expanded into a Geocities website, and eventually (August / September 2005) we left both Geocities and InvisionFree for a "real" host - that's when these forums were started with MyBB. At some point we changed our name to RCTgo (I'm sure it's in the news or news archive forum somewhere).

On January 30, 2006, RCTgo 2.0 was launched, and that was also RCTgo's first birthday. 6 months later, on July 30, 2006, RCTgo 2.5 was launched. At some point the forums were redesigned, and that formed the basis for RCTgo 3.0... However, while 3.0 was being developed, it was redesigned, and that forms the basis for what you see today. On January 30, 2008, RCTgo's third birthday, RCTgo 3.0 was launched, one and a half years after RCTgo 2.5.

Not even a month later, on February 17, RCTgo went offline because of domain issues. At the time, we were at rctgo.com, but I didn't own the domain. I couldn't get in contact with the owner, and it expired. A month later, we were ready to buy the domain when it was to go into the open market, but GoDaddy sent it to an auction instead. So, we were stuck without any domain, offline. Eventually, ahero4heor offered to buy rctgo.net for us, and I accepted. We re-launched on June 27, and we've been growing ever since!

I began development on RCTgo 3.5 some time during December of 2008, and it launched three days ago, May 2, 2009. Hopefully we'll be even stronger by our 5th birthday on January 30, 2010! Smile (don't let me forget it, though, like I did this year (a))

The Atari Community banner was part of a program where if we linked to them, they'd link to us and we'd be able to post updates there. The program died off, though.
