Hi...I'm using RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Platinum....Love it!

I just started playing this game. I bought it on-line and downloaded it. Worth every penny. I've never seen anything like it. The graphics are amazing. Glad there are places like this and youtube to help with the learning. The tutorial doesn't really help. The game is addiciting. All ways something new I'm finding. Getting the basics down and now I want to try other things.

This is the first time I have tried RCT3. I haven't tried previous versions. I will keep an I out for future downloads. When I figure out how to upload mine I will let you know. FYI: I purchased NoLimits Rollercoaster, I like RCT3 better. The program (RCT3) easier to use and pick up right away. NoLimits I have the basics down after the tutorial, but went back to RCT3. Live and learn. Guess it depends on what you're looking for.
thanks for the welcome.

Hi Aecrouch and welcome to our community.

NoLimits seems to be about coasters only. I understand there are two dozen types of track along with a park to put them in and that’s it for NL. It is a coaster sim application and not a park sim game. If one is interested in realistic coasters only then NL would probably be a great for them.

When I switched over from RCT2 to RCT3 the only thing I missed was the appearance the supports in RCT2, ‘especially the woodie supports. The problem with supports has been overcome with custom support replacement files. Some of the custom metal supports even stack like they did in RCT1 and I think custom supports are terrific! A huge thank you to anyone who in any way, shape or form had something to do with the development of support replacements.

Many tutorials seem to be slanted towards individuals who already know something about the process and some tutorials are usually not long enough suggesting there might be some concern about the unnecessary comments others make about how long a tutorial is. If the tutorial is five minutes long and the first minute we are forced to stare at the author’s desktop because the author of the tutorial thinks their desktop is wicked then that tutorial is too long. However if the tutorial is fifteen minutes in length, gives enough time for the viewer to read the material without having to hit pause too many times, and when the tutorial is done the viewer has learned something new then that tutorial was the right length of time.
