Well they help putting the scenery in your game.
Just copy that file into the file that has all the scenery it has in the folder and it will appear in your whaever it is.

I don't think you need them all the time.

it's my own set that I imported into the game... It works in the game but I can't find It.. I even had a professional try to find it but even he couldn't and couldn't explain it..so do u know if the importer saves it in a special folder or with a weird name.
