Not sure if this is the right place for it, but I need to let my site member know what has happened to LGMC.
As many of you may have noticed by now, the site is down. Apparently they had some RAM fail in one of their servers, but it was not the entire problem as after the RAM was replaced, they continued to have the same problem.
I recieved an email from the host this morning, adn this is what it said: (It has been translated from German, so please excuse the grammar.)
Dear bplaced user
Presently it comes unfortunately on the basis of an unusual hardware damage since yesterday, the 21st of November 2009, about
17:30, to the loss one our servers.
In the computing center, only the memory (RAM) of the server was suspected originally, which was exchanged immediately. Obvious this was not however the cause because system mistakes repeated itself after some
hours business again, soda system now actually completely no longer available is. Presently the unfortunate factor arrives at the weekend to be sure that for this responsible persons are not in the use, what
is usual in the normal case itself of Sunday. A restoration of the service results at the latest in about 18 hours at the morning of the 23rd of November, we ask to excuse most politely the loss and the
circumstances responsible for that - as soon as the service is produced again, will be turned within 10 minutes all sides by the maintenance mode again into the normal business, as well as the user menu again
vollständich available.
Im not sure at this moment the fate of the message boards. I guess we will have to see when they get the site back up.
