I got bored so I took up RC Multi-rotor helicopter building. Did that for a minute then started designing crazy supported coasters in RCT3. Earlier this Spring I took crochet back up after 2 years. I figured I'd try making something without following a pattern.

I made this...

I had written it down as I came up with it then had about 20 people around the world test the pattern for me. People are now buying my pattern. Seven bucks per download. It turns out that I have a knack for doing this and have started building up a following because I design off the wall complex patterns. I had over 260 people waiting to buy the first pattern.

I used to make crazy coasters now I make crazy crochet. It is the easiest thing I have ever done, I love doing it and it is going to make me money. Best job/hobby ever. I've made $286.59 in just the first day of the pattern being posted online. That's 41 people that have bought it so far.

This is my second design that I just finished. Depths of Change.

Only the Rings of Change pattern is available right now. I just published it online yesterday. You can find it here on Ravelry. They do allow anyone that is not a member buy patterns there. It's the largest crochet and knitting forum on the planet with over 4 million registered users. I go by the profile name of franknjim and my designer name is Frank ORandle

There is a free mini version of the pattern that is the first 42 rounds from the 111 round pattern here. The mini version has been downloaded 6,544 times in one month since I published it.

The pattern for Depths of Change still has to be tested by about 25 people before I will publish it. They help me find any errors in it. I start the test on that one in 2 days.

WOW Frankedj, you have an great crochet talent! Eek

These pattern looks amazing and they are so huge.
I think the price for this whole work and time is way to low!
Only 7$ is really cheap and i think that alot of people would pay way more for something beautiful and unique stuff like this.

Don't stop this hobby Frankedj, you are great in it! Smile

Your pictures and editing are great. I bet you could make that first picture in RCT3.

Lots of different talent. That's always good. You can never get board then. SmileBiggrinCool

Thanks. I took a lot into consideration when deciding the price. There are no popular patterns anywhere priced higher than $6.99. The ones that are priced higher never sell at all. The more people that do my pattern the more people that will buy it.
