RCT Custom Scenery Downloads

#1
I tried downloading a couple of custom scenery files. Once I had them in the right place I saw them in the game. However, it crashed the game. I had to remove the custom scenery items I downloaded. I read some of the older posts and removed the read me file. Sometimes in the custom scenery folders they have more than one of the same folder after you unzip the files. I deleted one and kept the one that had all of the scenery items. Loaded the gamee back up. Searched for the cs I wanted to use and it crashed the game again. Any suggestions?

Be sure that you check the CSO-Folder after unziping, twice!

Most of the time, the correct CSO-folder is located in an extra-folder, after unziping (as you wrote)
Importent part is that if you open up the CSO-Folder, you see the two "ovl"-files and one (sometimes more than one) other folders.

RCT3 won't work with "folder in folder" files and crashes, because RCT3 doesn't find the "ovl"-files, which are importent to load the CSO ingame. And don't copy only the "ovl" & cso files out and put it into the first folder, because the exactly folder name is also importent for an CSO to work without errors!

As you can see, Moby's Steel Jungle has only one folder besides the two "ovl" files.
That's how your CSO-Folder should look like if you open it up in your "Style/Themed" directory.

Before you check out an CSO again, run RCT3 once without any CSO's to avoid other errors/problems.

If it still wont work, try do re-download it from an different site, because CSO's could be corupted randomly by downloads/unzip/copy-past.

Hope this helps,
