RCT3 Game keeps crashing when I try to use a downloaded rollercoaster

#1
I've downloaded a few roller coasters off this website now and when I click on them in the game to place them it crashes Frown Does anyone know why this is happening? I put the downloaded files in Douments, RCT3, Coasters, am I doing this wrong?

Never mind they are working now

Many coasters may have custom scenery attached to it, or used CTRs. If you don't have these corresponding custom things, the coasters will crash, so this might be the cause here. Do you know if the coasters you downloaded required any custom content?

If the coaster track file was not built using one of the standard ingame coasters that your version of the game has then you need to get the custom coaster files and install it and all of its' track pieces into the game.

If you had downloaded one of my coaster track files but you don't have RCT3 Wild! that has the extended coaster then my track files wouldn't work for you.

From my experience when I download roller coasters, for example only DasMatze Eruofighter. Once I download the file I extract it. There are usually 2 folders. One for The Track Ride Cars (see attached screenshot, Place the actual Cars for the roller coaster in this folder. Then put the Track (actual track) into the track ride folder (see screeshot). Sometimes this doesn't always work, some tracks and cars seem to free the game or crash, just like some of the custom scenery I have download in the past. There are usually ReadMe files. If I didn't take that out, I had problems with the custom track. This is what was explained to me. There are times, when certain projects need custom scenery, these you will need to download and put in your c: (hard drive) Atari, Roller Coaster Tycoon, Style and then Themed Folder. If you are using a .dat file you will need to put in your documents/RCT3/Parks etc. I hope that helps and I didn't confuse you. That is why I included the screenshots from my computer.
