It's a play on words, see? Ant acid, antacid...yeah...

Anyway, hello. I just got RCT 3 about beginning of July and I've been enjoying it immensely. However, I'm having problems with downloading CFRs and the like, so here I am. I look forward to meeting you all!

Welcome. I'm glad you are enjoying the game. Regarding the CFRs I know there are some on the Custom Scenery Website. You may have been there already. Here is a link:

I have never been able to get the CFRs to work without crashing the game. I don't think I understood how to install them. I hope someone will be able to help you. People on this site are friendly and helpful. I'm sure you will get your answer and figure it out. Smile ( Let me know when you do Smile )

Thanks, I will let you know if I hear anything. I sort of hijacked another thread in the hopes of getting an answer: http://forums.rctgo.com/thread-19151.html

For all to see, here is my question: I'm running RCT 3 on a Mac OS via Steam, and I saw another thread in this forum that said I should add CS and CFRs like this:

Quote:Basically, if you open finder and go to applications, you will see the RCT3 Platinum logo. Right click it and click show package contents. Then, you want to click on "Contents", then "GameData", then scroll down and click on "Style", then "Themed" and there you are Smile Be sure to remove any extra files on your CC to avoid the dreaded "no :svd for :sid" error!

Unfortunately, after "Contents," none of the folders in my application match what this poster said. Any help is appreciated!

Edit: Also, turns out what I'm trying to install is a CTR, not a CFR. :P

Oooh, thanks! I'll look through these, and come back if it doesn't help.

Edit: But alas, no, I don't have those folders...that's kinda the root of my problem you see. I'm considering saving my parks to an external hard drive so I can reinstall RCT 3. Maybe the folders just didn't get added to my game package or something.

The main difference is on all those instructional videos, those people got RCT 3 through the Mac App Store, but I got mine on Steam, so it doesn't have the same folders. This is balls, I tell ya!
