Im sorry but ive never heard more disrespectful bullshit in my life. build it was designed to build something that you thought was impressive. when did this become a lets degrade people till they think they suck. yes my next three coasters are better but for the time i had i killed it. I think all of us in this round killed it in our own way. Look at the first build it winners and then look at ours. we did a avocado good job so if you are here to be a grape eggplant you.

@ff6061:
Really? You want to compare an entry/winner from "2008" to one from "2014"?!

I think, your problem is that you cant deal with negative feedback and/or constructive criticsm.
And if you cant deal with it, you shouldn't enter in the future an design into build-it. Or learn to deal with it.
Someone will like your creation, other ones will dislike it!

BtW, NO scenary/landscaping/terrafomring is pure laziness from the creator.
Building a coaster layout can be done from every monkey in a zoo with a little bit of practice!
That isn't really impressive!

And you excuses aren't comprehensible!
"Super Moose93" are totally right, custom supports build with "Big Burger's Timber" 1&2 can give an woodie an avocado realistic look. But it needs alot of time to fully support it.
That would be an excuse for not building it, not enough time.
But saying they would look terrible as the ingame ones are ridiculous.

No scenary infact of not detract the coaster with it?
The only thing that detract the design are the other attractions we see on the screens!

And how it could be that the placing of some trees or small/little shrubs/rocks/flowers beside the track can detract the coaster?!
As "Super Moose93" wrotes, NO scenary means laziness.
That's the same that i think if i see "naked" coaster design in build-it.
And we say it again and again, but if new members won't hear, than deal with the negative feedback from us!
But saying that we talking "bullshit" or want to degrade people with it, that is "bullshit"!

Most of us give feedback where the creator knows exactly the problem.
And with this knowledge he/she can work on these specific things to getting better.
No one of us wrotes only "this is orange/this looks bad" or something like this.

And "everyone" can wrote his opinion, if you will like it or not!
Deal with it or don't read the comments/feedback about your work!

At the point where your decision was to enter your creation, you should know that NOT all members will like your work. If not, than you're really naive.

Sure, everyone wants to hear only positive things about his work, but than the work must be good.
But negative things (if they are clear enough and constructive) can be helpful and could be seen as an help, not only as an negative thinking about the work!

The other thing is that alot of members here, take the criticsm about there work way to personal.
Yes, it was your work, but that doesn't mean that you "as person" are bad, too.

We only think that your design/creation could be better, nothing more/less.
And "Cobra" wrotes it right, everyone deserves respect for his work, doesn't matter if its good/bad.

Maybe sometimes some of us (includeing me) didn't find the best/nice way to say it with enough respect. One thing that we should learn and do better in the future.

But i think that saying the rough truth about it, is more helpful than only a lie and/or:
- "everything is great"
- "all looks amazing"
- "perfect job on this"
and so on...

I didnt comment just towards my work i commented towards all who entered a track. Insulting isnt constructive criticism it is destructive. It is demeaning to anyone who looks to this page for advise on building a better coaster. I can build a great steel coaster, wood is my down fall. So if you wanna help make it less destructive

Also since when is a custom station and the Que line covers not scenery. i had to customize that stuff to fit. so dont call me lazy i built what i could to get into this one.

Guys, no offense here! It's just an virtual competition without any awards and prices.
Don't take it to serious. And learn to deal with different opinions about your work.
It's impossible to create stuff that "everybody" will like, infact that everyone has an different taste in what is nice or not.

I agree with alot of the parts that Cheleste wrotes, especially that its a bit pointless to compare a winner from 2008 -> the start of these competiton, where no one has enough knowledge whats going on
and 2014 -> where alot of CSO's are available and the people learned how it goes.

Feedback should be "allways" constructive, than destructive and with some respect for the creator itself.
But on the other side, the rough truth about it is better than a lie for only to being nice to the designer.

Cheleste wrotes it right, sometimes she and other members don't find the right words and the feedback looks rough. But most of the time our "heavy critics" here give helpful suggestions, too.
And if people don't use these suggestions, well than they should deal with the feedback they will become.

Well, on one hand a station is part of the scenary thats right "ff6061", on the other hand a station could be seen as an part of the coaster itself and than its more an must have than an additional scenary.

For me, a station and a queue/path is standard for every coaster and it should be an must have.
Scenary like giftshops, restrooms, restaurants that's additional and can be counted as bonus scenary.
It's not necessary to build on every single coaster things like these, but these things can give a nice atmosphere to it.

Another thing is this, "i wanted to get in this round". Why especially this round?
It doesn't matter which round you'll enter. And if the coaster isn't finish in your eyes, take your time, DON'T enter and work on it, you have one week more to finish/improve it.
After that, you can still enter it. It makes no sense to enter it quickly only for enter it.

Quality first than quantity.

BtW, i think Cheleste doesn't mean that you are lazy infact of that you build a station, i think she means that it was laziness that you don't build more scenary around/beside it and that your reason why you don't build something around it, was an excuse.

It can be seen from both sides.
Calling a member lazy infact of his own decision about things that he did or not isn't nice.
Otherside can be, that it could sounds like an excuse to others, infact that there is no reason why to build no scenary around a coaster.
Every coaster has something around it, if its full themed or more natural with trees/shrubs doesn't matter.

Anyway, i think "everyone" of us here on the board can learn something.
No one is perfect or a super pro in everything!
And after all its only a simple game, nothing more. A GAME, not LIFE!
We shoud learn to work more together than against us.
The RCT community is rather small so we need friends not enemies inside the community.

Maybe all the "older" members here should give our first time guests "one free shot" in build-it.
Don't expect to much from "newbies", and hey we were all newbies in the past. Have this in mind!

Yes, they could take a look on past winners, but they also can build what they think looks good enough.

Soo long, Cobra Cool

PS: If i insulted one with my post/message/opinion, than sorry for that, that wasn't what i want.
Keep it everytime fair and with enough respect for each other!
