rmc or a gci would be a pretty cool edition to the park. my couple of rides on mean streak weren't the greatest (better than gwazi lol), but I think its time for it to go, as well as cleaning up mantis

That's a shame. I've always wanted to ride Mantis, and being in the apparent minority of people who actually would want to ride a stand-up roller coaster, there are fewer and fewer ones to choose from. I hope that they would decide to still keep it, and just maybe make it a traditional sit-down, because it seems to be a great ride.

Manits will be converted to Floorless. It is pretty obvious. Cedar Fair would never waste their money on a poler coaster. Especially at Cedar Point.

The best choice that CP could do is to convert it to an Floorless version.

They should keep the name, the colors (only refreshing) and change the trains to floorless ones.
It's not to expensive and the fans of "Mantis" would be thankfully that the track itself will not be demolished.

Maybe some little changes on the layout could be an option.
But not to much, because its good as it is.
And i know it, because i ride "Mantis" everytime when i was on vacation in the US.
avocado, it crushs my nuts, because Stand-Up's are rough, but i think every single round was worth it.

Well the thing is that Mantis is designed as a stand-up coaster, not a floorless. The center of gravity and the G forces and all that stuff would be off, because the way a track is designed for a stand-up is different from a floorless or a sit down. Most of the entire layout would need to be adjusted slightly to accommodate, which would require a brand new track. I personally enjoyed the ride when i went on it, and its a shame its being removed, but if something better will take its place, then be my guest.

well im sorry rudy but its not true lol. its turning into a floorless, with an orange track with this aqua and regular blueish supports. happy to see the park didn't get ride of the ride, and improving it instead. Welcome to the CP lineup Rougarou.
