I know in RCT2 and 3 you can raise the station height for rides using shift, but can you even do that in the original? I looked in the keybinds and there is no option for it. It's no huge deal but it would be helpful if anyone could tell me.

You probably can, but if you can't I would suggest raising land, putting the station platform on that, and then lowering the land back to its original height
