My name is Loco, I'm 19 years old and a long time fan of the Rollercoaster Tycoon series. Thinking back on it, I actually started playing at RCT1, and never really stopped. Right now, I play RCT3 on and off, with periods of time that I play it all day every day, and periods of time that I "forget" about it completely.
That said, it wasn't until RCT3 that I actually started looking into scenery and making my park actually look good. It always used to be about the rollercoasters for me, and somehow it still is.
Right now I'm working on two parks, but I'm kind of starting to give up on one of them.
The first park is one where I experimented around with terraforming, and created hills and separate climates.
The reason I'm kind of giving up on this park is because overall I'm not really satisfied with how it turned out to be. All the rides are kind of cluttered, and aside from one section there's not really a theme. None of the rides are actually spectacular either.
The second is where I experimented with distinguished themes and custom scenery mods. Overall it's looking pretty good. I've got 3200+ visitors, about 10 rollercoasters and a roughly equal amount of various attractions, paired with three themes (Western, Sci-fi and Atlantean).
Last few days I've been looking around this site and picked up a few great mods that made my parks and coasters look a lot nicer. I thank the creators of the mods in here for that. ^^
Looking up some youtube videos I realized there is a lot about this game that I don't know. Hopefully by joining this community, I will get answers to my questions and improve in my gameplay.
Anyway, I look forward to meeting all you, and thanks for reading if you got this far. ^^
Kind regards,
Loco
