RCT3 A Dark Ride Without Animatronics

#1
I've decided to get started on my first official project to share on the exchange thread, but there a few things I need to have clarified before I can get started.

First off, the dark ride I'm working doesn't have an animatronic set, to my knowledge so I need to how to make a dark ride using jpg/gif images from Google. Specifically, can I place them on the insides of the walls of the building or do I need to use the custom billboard featured?

Second, do I need to convert images after saving them to my PC for them to load in RCT3?

Third, what's a simple way to make a restaurant type building using Shy Guy's Main Street CS set?

Once I get everything figured out, I'll start building and try to do some uploads. I don't wanna share exactly what it is til I start the official thread on the exchange thread to avoid ruining the surprise. Thanks in advance.

Regarding Shyguy's Main Street Building Sets...
Many users have already made buildings like the one you are wanting.
If you want to make your own I would watch a few tutorials on YouTube
that can show you how to make them.
I would download all of Shyguy's Main Street Sets http://www.customscenerydepot.com/cslist...p?user=194
(The Custom Scenery Depot http://www.customscenerydepot.com/cslist/index.php )

I would check out these tutorials:

-Hethetheth's Tutorials
-Diogoj42 - The Basics of Dark Rides

For pictures that should be used ingame a "jpeg" format do the job.
Animated "gif's" and/or video files could work maybe with special billboard cso's.
But as far as i know, most of the time on Youtube videos, the designer use camera fakes to do the trick.
A thing that is pointed out in the 6. & 7. part of "Hethetheth's Tutorials".

But you can use custom billboards as walls for your ride if you want if the texture for a wall that you want doesn't appears in a CSO-Set.

Otherwise, i'm not a dark ride expert. I know only basics about it Wink

So long, Cobra
Keep it everytime fair and with enough respect for each other!

The basics should work for what I'm working on. Time for me to go brainstorm layouts. Many thanks.

EDIT: Hmmmm I may not be able to do this on my own after all. Looks like the images I need aren't going to work with a full building complete with halls and such. T_T Sorry, everyone.
