Which park are you trying to install? If you let me know, I can help you more. If you are downloading a park from this website try the following: (this is an example)
Go to the park section on this website, download Geauga Lake by nathan848

Unzip the file using a program like 7 zip
http://www.7-zip.org/
Once you unzip the file, double click on the folder.
There should be a read me file. Usually read me files have the custom scenery you need listed here as well as any other instructions you may need. Once you have all of the custom scenery items installed...
Place the Geauga Lake.dat file in Documents/RCT3/Parks.
When you want to use the park I would try opening it up in the sandbox mode.
