Where to, and how to download coaster deigns.

#1
Just got a new computer. Tried to download some stuff from the CS Depot, (extra coaster types), but I don't know where to put them. As it now lists the following:-

Campaigns
Coasters
Firework effects
Fireworks
Laser effects
Laser writing
Parks
Peeps
Pools
Scenarios
Start new scenario
Structures
Water effects

I expect they should go in coasters. But do I leave them in the folder(s), or take them out of them?
Any help much appreciated.

See screenshot attached.
If you are running on Windows 8.1 you can find that list : Documents/RCT3
Most custom scenery items have read me files. Make sure to look at those instructions before installing. If there is a particular custom scenery item you are trying to use, let me know which one it is and I can help you more.

Yes that's what I get. I want to download a couple of coaster types.
I've tried putting the folder in coasters. Unopened, and just the things inside it.
Both times the coaster type HASN'T shown up on the coaster list.

I'd appreciate your help.

You are welcome.
I also have a question for you regarding the tracks you are talking about...
Are these custom tracks like the B&M Sitdown by Parallox or are they coasters people have already have made. For example if you are downloading a track from this site, you would need the actual custom track (I believe that is the case). In that case you would need to put the ctr in a certain folder on your hard drive here is a tutorial I made on how to do that.

If I'm confused sorry. I hope you get it to work.

i assume by this you mean ctrs?
then you need to go to c>program files/program files(x86) [depends on OS bit]>atari>rct3 platinum
from here this is where youll install custom stuff

here is a tutorial on installing ctrs https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R0PvcfZBrwU

It sounds like you were able to figure out how to do this. If you need any more help let me know. If you can't find the wingrider go to The Custom Scenery Depot Website: http://www.customscenerydepot.com/cslist/index.php
Go the CTR tab and it should say cars, here is the link to the B&M tracks: http://www.customscenerydepot.com/cslist...ntent=cars
(if you already new that, sorry...just trying to help more). Smile
