Sorry if this is in the wrong spot im new to the forums.

ive created a Custom Track in Nolimits Imported into sketch up then tweaked the track once i was done i exported as a 3ds file and went into blender to add splines and more tweaking but i cant even import the model due to a console error

this is the error im running into

   File "C:\Users\USER\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\.blender\scripts
ts\3ds_import.py", line 429, in putContextMesh
    if len(materialFaces)!=len(myContextMesh_facels):
TypeError: object of type 'NoneType' has no len()

Can i get any help ive looked everywhere on how to fix this error and i haven found any help.....

Hi and welcome.
I'm not that familiar with Blender however, I did a quick search.
You may want to look at this general link to find what you may need.

Here is a link to Blender's website and tutorial page

None of those links you provided dont have any informtion on how to fix this error it is the 3ds_import.py script error via line 429 which i can figure out why its failing im thinking when the import process is going blender/python trys to look for the textures used and fails which causes this error but even if i assign textures to the model and add them to the file it still fails...
