Wild! Lighting glitch on exposed terrain

#1
Hi,

Everytime I make an underground path, or there's exposed terrain edges, I get this weird lighting glitch where the neigbouring squares get lighter textures.

Anyone else experienced this or know of a way to stop this happening?

This is because the terrain is not properly connected. You can use the smooth tool, to "reconnect the tiles.

Thanks for the response, but it wasn't that as I tried that before to no avail. All the tiles are flat and in line. Apparently it's because the texture blending messes up whenever I expose terrain edges, so I have to respray the texture to get rid of that checkerboard look.

Such an annoyingly weird behaviour, but it worked, and in all the time I've been playing RCT3 I never even realised it was a thing..

Its due to the way the texture was made. It was made using what is called the "checkerboard" method. Which is used to make more realistic looking textures. That is the sand and dry grass textures together to make the appearance of savanna grass
