Hey all.  I used to play older versions of RCT.  Recently with all the covid 19 and being stuck inside all the time I just downloaded RCT platinum.  It is as fun as I remember it.  

Question.......How to you copy trk files in so they are viewable and able to be used?  Do you also need the custom scenery they were created with to make them work?

Welcome hkyrks! If you download anything, you will get a zip file. Everything you need is in here. Just follow the "read me" instructions. You have to place a coaster (trk) for example into (My) Documents/RCT3/Coasters. If the custom scenery belongs in the Style/Themed folder, you can find it here: C:/Program Files (x86)/Atari/Roller Coaster Tycoon 3/Style/Themed. Good luck.

I remembered something else. The zip file only refers to custom scenery. All other things (parks, structures,...) are usually normal files that you don't have to unzip. I hope I don't confuse you.
