Just got back on windows XP and im wondering how do you get the game to work

you buy it on steam.

Got my copy for $5 at a yard sale some years ago, been playing ever since. No problems on Vista or Win7. It's available on Steam if you want to deal with them, but you can probably find it on ebay or amazon.
