The Amiga is the computer which started it all off for me.....and for many more i guess.
I feel this computer was a benchmark for PCs back in the late 80s/early 90s, but the games where the best for the generation. The First game i ever purchased was called SPEEDBALL written by the Bitmap Bros, then 2 years later, the sequel arrived. After that i never saw any other incarnations, what happened.Other games i loved was Lemmings, SWIV, Project X, Xenon2 and many more.......anyothers with a view on this?
I've never heard of any of those games. The first PC game I played was Doom or Duke Nukem, I can't remember -it was the year 1994. Since then I stuck with Nintendo until I discovered RCT1 and it exploded up to where I am now. Although, I got hooked to a game called JezzBall in high school.
I'm only 25, acually the very first game I played was on Atari when I was 5. Do you remember the Atari consoles? Gleco? i can't remember the game I played, but I remember playing something and haveing to go home, but wanted to go back to play the game some more. ...ah..kids..
the good ol days eh...
video games have come along tremendiously. Just think about the future and what games will be like then.
Like the Holodeck in Star Trek.Total interaction......people will get so immersed in it, they wont wanna go back to reality, and you wouldnt blame them.....what with all the nastiness that goes on in the world today....
Have you ever played any virturual realitiy stuff. like putting on the glasses adn what have you?
I did about 8 years ago, it was called Virtuality. That was in a place called the Trocadero, which is in Picadilly/London.It was a strange feeling....me and a friend battled it out with eachother, shooting in a landscape which was full of platforms, then this funny dragon thing used to come from the sky, picked us up....and dropped us to our death......bloody strange if you ask me....
I've never played with one, so is like what I see on the movies/TV when people play around with them?
