Huge slowdowns

#1
Hey, I've just recently started having trouble with my RCT 3 game...
Whenever the park is too big, it slows down
whenever its nighttime, it slows down (this is the worst problem)
at night, when all the rides lights come on, the game just lags out of a control and I can barely use the mouse :xpinched: which is annoying cause I like that part of the game Frown

ive already heard of problems like this too

im not sure if its my comp or not, cause it never did this when I first bought the game

at the moment, I have the game with Soaked! and Wild! installed

Download the patches from Atari's site. It should fix the problems.

You could have a supercomputer with state of the art graphics and the game will still be slow.

I agree with simulationcity, I've bought dozens of video cards thinking it was my video card causing the problem it wasn't. I've learned the hard way on this, I had the Nvidia 6800 series and still it was slow even with 1Gig of Dual channel ram running on a Athlon64X2 Dualcore 3800+ still was slow. Then I bought the Nvidia 7800GT Video Card with 256MB Ram still was slow. Same CPU, and them finally a Pentium D950Dual Core running at 3.6ghz with 2GB dual channel DDR2 at 667Mhz overclocked to 700Mhz. Then the Nvidia 7900GTX video card with 512 running at 1.7Ghz DDR3 ram and 670Mhz core. When your park gets beyond 128x128 tiles and filled with tons of trees scenery and lighting effects. Check out my post in the Forum under 'HeyGuys' and check out the video and photos. You'll understand even with these specs and no peeps in the park yet, the Machine, just grinds to a hault. Next computer Core2Duo at 2.4 or the Quad Core2 at 2.4 ghz and additonal 2Gigs of DDR2 667. See if that don't fix the problem if it doesn't then I'll get another 7900GTX. LOL.. .just to play this game.
