Project Breakfree - Day 1

We're happy to share with you some great new details on Project Breakfree, also known as RCTgo 2.5 - a huge change to the way things work around RCTgo.

We're introducing a new way to navigate - a way that may have never been seen before at a RollerCoaster Tycoon fansite. In RCTgo Project Breakfree, we have added two very nifty features to our navigation. Both allow you to decide what YOU want the navigation to look like. Now, you can decide whether you want the actual items in the navigation to show or not with new drop downs, similar to those on many forum scripts, such as IPB, vB, and MyBB. The same is with the news, which you can now collapse and expand at will. Another feature that is similar is the new drag-and-drop capability, which lets YOU decide where you want your navigation. If you don't like something where it is, drag it in a new place, on either navigation panel.

RCTgo is letting you decide what you want your source for the RollerCoaster Tycoon to look like.... not the other way around.

Project Breakfree - Day 2

A major part of most RollerCoaster Tycoon sites is the download center - and at RCTgo, we feel ours is one of the best. We feel this even moreso with the changes we've made in RCTgo 2.5.

The download center is now completely integrated with the template system that we implemented in RCTgo 2.0, as well as the rest of the site! This means we can change the site quickly and easily, keeping RCTgo's website looking consistent no matter which page you visit.

Another reason? Our brand new Quick Search and Advanced Search (advanced search still being worked on) let you find exactly what you are looking for. The version sort, now in the navigation rather than at the top of each page to keep the look cleaner and more organized, also helps you find just what you are looking for right when you want it. Quick Search shows only the top 20 results, if there are 20, while advanced search shows all results found, and lets you choose the RCT3 version, section, and even search for the author, to help you find just that download you want quickly and easily, unlike ever before.
