Bingo Players nearly arrested by Police

#1
A group of 35 pensioners in Stoke-on-Trent were threatened with arrest after a row broke out at the start of a game of bingo.
Police were called to a community centre on Bordeaux Road in Meir on Thursday evening.

An argument had started between one of the bingo players and a member of staff. No arrests were made.

One of the players said future bingo sessions for the group of pensioners had now been cancelled.

All of the group are understood to be aged over 70.

'Hilarious'

Mary Robinson, who was among the group, said: "There was an altercation between one of the group and the chap who was running the bingo which got a bit out of hand.

"It was hilarious when the police arrived and said they were going to arrest everyone.

"I think it was only because we said we had no transport until 9 o'clock that they let us carry on with the game."

She said future sessions had now been cancelled.

"It was a dispute between two people but all of us were going to suffer," she added.

Staffordshire police said there was no-one available to comment on the incident.

Is that for real?

LOL - Just imagine walking into a bingo hall with half a dozen pensioners all threatening to knock each other out. :P

You would walk out thinking "Did I just see that?"
