It was revealed today in a report from the Brittish Medical Council, that many docters and physical health specialists are calling on the Government to ban roller coasters through fears that riding roller coasters may lead to an unusual liver dissorder called hoeks syndrome. which causes the liver to spasm and means that people can only eat at certain times.

Dr Peter Manning of the British Medical Council said " While we cannot be certain of a link between roller coasters and Hoeks syndrome, we can be certain that roller coasters are dangerous to public health, and should, at least until more conclussive research is done, be closed with immediate effect.

The initial link between Hoeks and roller coasters was divulged from records of Hoeks syndrome cases, a recent trend has shown an increase of around 10 percent in the Cherstey area of Surrey, south west London. One of britains premier theme parks, Thorpe Park is located here and knowing that Hoeks syndrome can be caused by exccessive motion, scientists have claimed that Thorpe Park, and roller coasters uin general are the cause.

Dr Peter Manning went on top to say "Hoeks syndrome is the single biggest medical problem facing us right now, and we must take immediate action to prevenet tens, even hundreds of people from developing the dissorder, and spending the rest of they're lives eating only at certain hours.

The report has provoked outrage from several fansites and Roller Coaster enthusiasts.

Michael Cunningham of the Roller Coaster Club of Great Britain (RCGB) said, "The risk is ours to take, sure there are risks invloved in going on coasters, but who are they to tell us what we can and cant do to ourselves? Even if coasters do cause Hoeks syndrome, your still more likely to suffer injury or ilness from your trip to the theme park, rather than on the ride itself, the whole proposal of banning coasters is utterly rediculous.

The Gov't is currently taking the matter under advisment, but is said to be taking the situation very seriously, having set up a select commitee to discuss the banning of Roller Coasters and the wider implications.
