Using RCT3 to plot data

#1
Some of you may have seen the video floating around of housing prices from 1890 to present plotted with RTC3.  I am interested in doing something similar with other business data (makes the point quite vividly) for an upcoming meeting.  Before I plunk down the $$ to purchase RTC3, can someone tell me whether you can import external data to "plot" a roller coaster or how timing consuming it would be to create something similar to the housing price coaster with RTC3 out of the box?

Thanks

I havent seen this video and i dont really get what you mean.

It is quite easy to build Rollercoasters in RCT3 once you get used to it.

You can see the video at http://blip.tv/file/187197/

I guess the best way to explain what I'm trying to do is that I'd like to take an excel file (e.g., inflation adjusted housing prices since 1890) and import that data to RCT3 instead of trying to build each section of a coaster one data point at a time.

Thats a pretty cool idea.

But no, there isnt a way to import data from Excel or a Database into RCT3. Im guessing the only way to do it would be to work out a scale which would match the height of the rollercoasters and the data in your DB.
