When I start up tycoon gold it goes to the loading screen before the main menu but when it is 40% done it crashes the game. What is the problem and what should I do

Well, lets see. Do you know how to post a dxdiag? It would help us to see if anything is wrong with your system. If you don't know how, I'll tell you. Start>Run>dxdiag, then hit the Return key. When the DirectX Diagnostic Tool comes up, wait until it loads, then click Save All Information. This creates a .txt file with the contents of the dxdiag in it; all you need to do is copy that and paste it into a new post.
