PS3

#1
Managed to play on this yesterday and I must say that I was very impressed with it.

The controllers are just like the PS1 and 2, except they are wireless and much lighter (due to the rumble pack removed).

The User Interface is very nice and allows you to view the internet, saved images, videos, users and games. You can plug in memory sticks and add images, videos etc to the hard drive!

Graphics are very good on all the games I played on, including Grand Turismo!

The box is sleek but slightly bulky.

Overall, I thought it was very good (I cant compare it to the 360 as I havent played on one)

Cheers Smile

I think that the PS3 is a good console from a technical standpoint, but I'm just not sold on the games that they have released so far. And I really can't foresee myself spending over $600US on the console, games, and other accessories that I would need to use it.

I dont like that theyve removed the rumble pack from the controler but wasnt this somthing to do with it interfearing in the wireless aspect of it.

Ive wacthed loads of game preveiws ect and from what ive seen it all looks great. One thing that disapointed me was that grand truismo HD was pulled from development. I rember reading somthing about GT 3 cars taking around 3-4 hours to render where as GTHD cars taking around 52 hours to render. Looking at comments like that must mean the PS3 has the technolagy to outstand our gamming that we have currently. LOL i even read somwhere they were allready planning a PS4. gamming nation mag i think i saw that.

How much is it in £? About 400?

I dont think I would pay that much for it, but I dont tend to play console games any way! I was impressed by Grand Turismo for the PS3, very life like with photographers on the side taking pictures. Small things which make a great game!

Do doubt them and microsoft are planning next-next gen consoles Smile

Looking at AU$1000 or there abouts for one over here with the restricted backwards compatibility. I cannot see myself getting me one for a few reasons, the price, no games that interest me that I cannot get something similar on the 360, and the fact I have spent enough over the past year on "next gen" consoles and a new computer.

I am still to see one but it is going to take a fair bit to get me to get one any time soon.
