I have two slides at my water park named red vs blue. For some reason, sims only ride the Red one. The other is just as easy to get two, in fact the same path is used to get to both for the most part...so what am I doing wrong?

Probably nothing. When the game was programmed there were some bugs, this could be one also update your game, this helps with bugs like that
