I just installed RCT3 US and both expansions. I got a new computer several months ago and I thought maybe, just maybe it will actually run smoothly this time.
It doesn't, but I'd like to install the patches anyway, I have 2 files:
RCT3_RETAIL-UPDATE1_USA.EXE
rct3_1stretail-update2_usa.exe
When trying to run either file, I get the following error:
Cannot locate RCT3 USA, RETAIL, on your
(The error mesage cuts off, but that's not part of the problem. Every dialog box I get does that on my comp)
I put the files in RCT3's main dir and it still won't work. Any suggestions?
I figured out the problem. Yes, I am an idiot. Sorry to waste your time.
Just in case anyone wants to know what the fix was, I'll tell you.
I downloaded the patches for the original RCT3, not RCT3 with soaked and wild installed.
The patches for wild (because wild comes with all the original rct and soaked patches) can be found here: http://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=3
