Possibly an indie game version of Rollercoaster Tycoon

#1
My friends and I are game programmers and designers. I have noticed as an avid rollercoaster tycoon fan that, well, there is just about no backing by Atari, and even the community seems to be shrinking. What type of interest is there on a new game? How much would you pay for this? The first game probably isn't going to be any better than rct3. If there is interest, i'm going to post more info, a ton more. I posted this real quick cause its late and I have to go soon. Anyway, if there is any interest this is a project I would love to take on!

I'm going to be completely honest with you, it won't be this year or next year. I'm looking at anywhere before the end of 2015. I know, it sounds like a long time, but to even get ANY interest or quality, we need to take our time. In a couple days we will be starting the official forums for the game, so look out for that!

Alright, i'll shoot you a message if the really kicks off. Do you have any knowledge of C++ or 3D design?
The forum should be up tomorrow or the day after. I'm thinking around November/December i'm going to start a kickstarter. Of course, this is all hopefulness of course. I feel that if I wait too long, the rct community will be too small. I have seen the decline of interest. Its actually really sad. I need to rekindle the interest of this genre. Some of my favorite moments (on the computer anyway) were on rct3 chatrooms/messageboards and just the whole close-knit community.

If it would be released by 2015, like you said, there probably would be another RCT3 - type game. (NL2) And maybe more.

right, but do you remember what happened last time there was a game like rct3 it didn't do well (thrillville anyone?). Even no limits didn't do well. Besides, thats not a park simulator. Thats a rollercoaster simulator. Anyway, i'm not looking to make a millions bucks or anything, at first anyway lol. I want to come out even and if anything rekindle the rollercoaster park sim community we all know and love, have a company that consistently make rollercoaster park sims, and have a game dev company that listens to what people want.

This is a half bump (kinda not really) but more of an update. Anyway, the forums are up, i literally just made it a few seconds ago. I did create a forum, but this project is not official. Please feel free to join and participate in the forums. Thanks Guys!

What if one of those programmers would let us buy their awesome simulators like you see in a trailer for a roller coaster. They have rides and trees and coasters and everything is perfectly placed and the roller coasters are perfectly smooth.
