Retroville Park

#1
I'm a newbie here but I wanted to post a link to my Retroville park. It's kind of a 80's movie inspired park that's pretty much complete. The link is to the Terrortown section of the park. The park includes authentic art and music from the movies and shows that I pay homage to.

I'm interested to see what you think. I believe the park might be too full because I'm getting a lot of crashes, especially when I try to switch to night. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

You talking about the ones on the back side of "Children of the Corn". I'll fix that. That's my newest addition to the park and I had the modify another ride "Goonies Never Say Die" that has multiple caves. Might need further modification to make it look right.

The park is about done. My computer is a workhorse. Intel i7, 12 GB of Ram, 1.5 TB hard drive (particioned into 5 drives). 2 GB NVidia 560 GTX. Windows 7.

Lights out = game crash 100% of the time now. Sucks cause it looks pretty cool at night.

Not suprised though because I've filled pretty much the entire lot of land, have a ton of custom scenery, billboards and custom music and sound effects for almost every ride.

I'll keep posting other parts of the park that I think you'll like, especially if you like retro 80's style stuff. Thanks for the complements and constructive criticism.

Orge!

This wooden roller coaster pays homage to the crude nerd hating jock, Ogre, from the Revenge of the Nerds. I just find this guy really funny as I do the Alpha Betas in general. Amazing all the time they spend antagonizing the lowly Tri Lams. Adams College's football team would have probably been a little better if their athletes spent a little less time partying, burning down their house and harassing nerds. But that would have made the movie probably suck. So cheers to Ogre and all the Alpha Betas. The actor that played Ogre is named Donald Gibb. He's still big and crazy looking. Cheers to Donald Gibb too.

Please note. The park is designed to be fun. I'm not interested in immaculate scenery. I just get a kick out creating a place I would want to go to. So don't expect too much custom scenery that's designed to have a Disney look to it. I'm all about the rides, the funny billboards and the funny audio. That's what thrills me. Don't get me wrong, I think the park looks f'ing awesome. But I'm not trying to make it like other parks. The focus is the themes that I find interesting and that kinda makes me laugh. It's centered around the movies and television shows I grew up with. I try to make it look like a realistic park but I doubt you're going to see themes like Gremlins, Ogre, Beavis & Butt Head, Die Hard, ect. in any park today. But that's the way I want it. It's my park, and I love it. Hope some of you out there will enjoy it as well.

This was awesome, and your right, the audio is comical. I love the fly through of the park. It took me back a few decades, haha.

Retroville's "Children of the Corn"

This speedy coaster pays homage to the ultimate creepy evil kids horror movie "Children of the Corn". This movie is proof positive that having kids will lead ultimately to a kid blood cult where all adults are ritualistically murdered in order to please the one who walks behind the rows. Now we wouldn't want that, now would we honey? The movie stars Courtney Gains as Malachi who was in several awesome 80's movies, including "Hardbodies" as Rags and "The Burbs" in which he portrayed the garbage smashing Hanz Klopek. Cheers to Children of the Corn and Cheers to Courntney Gains. Now put down that sickle son.
