hi I'm a newbie here and I want to know how to build coasters. Can anybody please help me??

Well it depends what program you are going to use or are using "No Limits Coaster Simulator" you have TONS of building freedom and is really flexible in what you do. "Roller Coaster Tycoon 3" is a lot simpler but less building freedom *meaning preset peaces of track*, So if you want to use "No Limits" go to YouTube and watch tutorials on how to use it then try your hand at a coaster but start of small and simple then work your way up! Now "RCT3" you don't need YouTube tutorials 'cause the tutorials are in the "RCT3" game already

No, as son as you have installed, you can do anything. Although you can download custom tracks and scenery!
