I've just completed my 9th scenario and so far I have never been able to get peeps' hunger or thirst into the green. My parks have been riddles with food and drinks stalls, to the point were some of them were losing money, yet peeps still wander round thinking "I'm thirsty!" Is this normal or is there some trick to it, such as placement, price, or extras? (I pretty much leave everything as it is with shops, since any changes I make would be arbitrary.) Obviously it hasn't affected my performance to such an extent that I've failed the targets, but I assume my parks will be better if I can get everybody fed and watered! Any tips?

You have to lure the peeps to the food and drinks. Place food and drinks around your coasters and rides, the peeps will use them more often. It's not just the fact that you place them, it's where you place them. Also, when guest have park maps they find these things more easily.

Make sure you put an info booth right at the entrance! Than they can buy a map and find the food and drinks.

I suppose some of my stalls may have missed out by being placed away from rides and coasters. This leads me onto another question: can i place more than one of the same type of shop in close vicinity or will it impact on sales? Some scenarios only allow one or two different food/drink stalls, so I may end up with Burger 1, 2 and 3 all within a tile or so of each other. Is this ok?

Yes! It's fine they'll still buy it.

Build food and drinks at the top of hills, so people walk a long way, and when heyre finished, they spend lots on drinks

In RCT1and2 it would impact sales but not anymore!
