Got it. Only, I have the Wild update.exe that's already there in place of the installed .exe. Would there be a work-around?

That .exe had been there from day one of the install and I don't actually remember if it's called the Wild patch or the Wild update. Doesn't matter though, it worked fine while I was using it. For about an hour and a half I just tried the no CD exe I downloaded and the game ran like it regularly does so it appears we have a winner.
