Just PM me about the things you want sorting out and I will be willing to help you.

About 3 years or so. Here's my story.

My sister had a boyfriend, Will Tome. She was around 16 and Will was kind-of a good looking nerd. We were talking about Carowinds one time, and he mentioned a game called Roller Coaster Tycoon. I was interested and I looked it up online. I really wanted to try it out and he said he'd get a copy from his school (lucky guy, he gets to play RCT3 during school). He came to our house another day and he game me a copy. I was disappointed because it was RCT1, not 3. But I went on my computer and installed it anyway. I got so obsessed with the game, but I still wanted RCT3. I watched Youtube videos about it and that only made me want it more. On Christmas that year, I was so excited because I got RCT3. I gave my RCT1 game back to Will and immediately went on the computer. When I opened it, I didn't find what I thought I would. All the tracks were suckish, and the scenery was so random I didn't know what to do with it. I went back to the Youtube videos and wondered how they built that stuff. Well, anyway, I played the game how I had it forever, and I made these crazy coasters that went into space and back. When I needed a cheat code for Fast lift hills or Unlimited heights, I went to the RCTgo Cheats section, because it was the first thing that came up on the Google search: "RCT3 cheats". One day I was curious and I decided to explore the site further, and I went to the downloads section. I found this thing called custom scenery, and I didn't really pay attention to it. Then when I got a set, I thought it was a miracle. I kept getting more and more, it was addicting as a drug. Of course, I got used to the fact that it was typically installed in Style/Themed, and I could install sets without opening the readme all the time. I did have trouble with RAR files, though. So I figured out how to use Steel Jungle and spent months trying to support a B&M Hyper I made, Bubblegum. Lol. It was pink and blue and I never finished it because, unfortunately, my dad uninstalled everything on my desktop computer to upgrade to Windows 7. All of my RCT3 stuff was gone, and I got out of the spirit. Later in the year, the computer got a virus or something and he downgraded to Windows Vista because our computer couldn't handle running 7. A long time later, about a year ago, my friend came over and he wanted to play RCT3, because I told him about it a while back. I didn't have it installed, so I got the disk and installed it. We played Mario Kart while it was installing, and then I opened Sandbox mode. He had fun playing and making those ultra un-realistic noob coasters that everyone starts out making, while I sat there and watched him build up, down, underground, quadruple loop, and all that mess. I started installing my custom scenery again, and wanted to build Carowinds. A few of the rides I finished, I put on the downloads section of RCTgo. Then I joined the forums, got a little better over time, and I build my first ride with theming, kind of, Affinity. I thought it was the coolest coaster anyone had ever built, of course now I look back and it wasn't all that spectacular, but I was so excited to enter it in round 100 of Build it!, when things had a faster pace in the competition. I came in second, though, I lost to DiarugaCoasters, with his entry Uproar. I was upset, but I moved on. I made The Old Mill, and now I'm working on my new coaster, which you will have to research the name of. But that's basically my RCT3 life. Other things that I did on this site specifically I didn't mention, but my fingers are tired. So, yeah. Bye.

GAWSH! If you sit here and read that for five minutes, you'll start seeing patterns everywhere.

Matthew, I suggest making a floating island above-ground with a coaster on it, that would be sweet!

I lost mine, hmm, about 5 (or more) months. It's because I got The Sims 3 Smile

I actually do see patterns

I got out of it about 7 months ago and when I was on a plane and I had nothing better to do I played rct3. Then I got into it again. Then I got out of it again when I had absolutely no ideas.(until I started my hotel) so I went over to shy guys world and all of their parks looked too hard to make. I'm too lazy to make what they make. Then I decided to build my hotel. Now I'm playing 24/7.

That was very interesting reading. Kind of thoughtless of your dad though, you losing all your stuff like that.

I think we all start out feeling a major sense of accomplishment with an RCT park then some months later going back and realizing how sucky our rides were in our unspectacular parks that we thought were so fabulous at the time we made them. I’ve looked at some of the parks I’ve made long after I’ve put them aside and forgotten them and have thought, “OMG did I make that rubbish!”

How can you do that? I would really like to give it a try!

I know!! I quite often make a park, think its the most amazing park ever built, lose interest in finishing it, and start another one and the cycle goes all over again!!Smile Make a park, think its the most amazing park ever built, lose interest in finishing it, and start another one, make a park, think its the most amazing park ever built, lose interest in finishing it, and start another one, make a park, think its the most amazing park ever built, lose interest in finishing it, and start another one!!! lolSmile

Make a floating island by:

1. Make a big ball with custom ground textures in Sketchup, import it.
2. Make it out of Weber's rocks, Canyon Craze has some ridiculously big rocks, you should try it.
3. Make out of terraformed land, build a bunch of invisible paths through the bottom so it floats. Then figure out how to put water over them.
