I'm not saying Demolition Crew isn't a good coaster, because it is a good coaster, and a very good one at that. However, honestly I've been disappointed at almost everyone voting for BuildIt entries due to use of CS. I do think that the RCT3 entries in this round needed at least a little more foliage, but voting for a coaster all because of scenery? How about factors like layout, thrill, excitement, intensity, the real reasons a coaster enthusiast loves a great coaster?
It's kinda like saying that Golden Ticket Awards voters voted for Millennium Force all because the lift hill had pretty support pylons, or because there was a tunnel and trees and the coaster is near a lake. It's not because of that. They obviously voted for Millennium Force because of the extreme yet tame and smooth ride (although I believe Expedition GeForce is a better coaster, but I never really rode it or Millennium Force so I can't really say so.)
The most beautiful and natural of settings could add excitement to a coaster, but I'd take a fast, twisty, fun entry set in a flat part of land with a few trees over a terrain coaster in the Amazon Rainforest that goes at a speed of 12 miles an hour.
(And no, I'm not referring to Demolition Crew. It's fun and fast, too. I'm just making my point clear with two examples that do not refer to any of the entries in this round or all the other rounds in BuildIt/Featured Coaster Competition history.)
