Thank you for the suggestions. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium so no Mac issue here. And those two links didn't work so not sure how to find that info.

Those links are indeed not working. Let’s try again.

To be sure you’re downloading and processing your files correctly take a look at this post:

Then to confirm what file goes where take a look at this post:

Thank you for continuing to help me but now it's time for a question that will tell just how stupid I am. To start with I'm new to RCTgo so maybe that's the problem. Throughout your post in the first link you refer to "CS", is that Custom Scenery? I tried download/installing Jerp's Path, I followed the instructions in the Read Me file but I'm not seeing it in RCT3. If CS is not Custom Scenery, then please tell me what it is. Sorry to be a pain but I would like to download more from RCTgo and start to creating and sharing but need to get this resolved first.

the majority of the time CS is custom scenery.

have you tried moby's steel jungle? if that doesnt work then you have got a problem with your computer or game. installing steel jungle is simple, just stick the files 'style/themed', pretty much everyone has steel jungle so it works

Ok, I've downloaded Moby's Steel Jungle, put it where it states on the page (http://rctgo.com/downloads/view/6187) into "Program Files (X86)/Atari/Roller Coaster ® 3/Style/Themed/Moby's Steel Jungle v1".

I finally found it in "Scenery" "Walls, Roofs and Buildings" - when I click on it is like a drop down showing each of the individual pieces. I can place each piece but not Steel Jungle as a whole.

I'm guessing what is shown for location is not correct.

Oh, one more thing...I put the folder Moby's Steel Jungle v1 into the Styles/Themed folder, was I supposed to put just the files from that folder?

The set is composed of individual pieces, that's where creativity comes into play. Wink

So, the set is in the correct directory, and is installed correctly.

Okay, I was expecting a coaster already assembled....they should put in description "assembly required" LOL

Now since that apparently worked, now to figure out what I'm doing wrong with everything else I've tried. UGHHH

Trying to use Park Entrance C http://rctgo.com/downloads/view/10800 and it lists "CS used as follows:"

I'm trying to locate those items on RCTgo but am having a problems, keep getting the message "No Downloads To Show Based On Current Filters". I've tried to search by the item listed (get list of everything that uses that item) and by author and that's when I get that message.

This shouldn't be this hard UGGG again

steel jungle is a support set for B&M coasters, its not a coaster itself.

in regards to this "I put the folder Moby's Steel Jungle v1 into the Styles/Themed folder, was I supposed to put just the files from that folder?", just put the whole folder into the location it needs to go (unless instructed to do something else with it).

if you are having trouble getting coasters to work, you might need to download the CTR (custom track ride) it uses to get access to the track so you can select the coaster you want to view/use.

eg. say the coaster you want to download and use is using the 'nightfire CTR', you may need to download and install the 'nightfire CTR' as well as the coaster for it to show up in your game.

this might not work, but its worth a try. if it doesnt work, then at least you have got new tracks to play with

I will recommend CS list, located at this link: http://www.customscenerydepot.com/cslist/index.php

you can filter your search by author, CTR, CSO, and CFR.

Almost every custom scenery set created is on that site.

Thank you all for your help. Uninstalled and reinstalled RCT3 and, this time, installed Soaked and Wild expansion packs. Thinking that is what's making the difference. Getting some things to work but still having a few issues. They are:

Does anyone know of a free program to open RAR files?

If there is no description on the items main page or in a read me file, how do you determine where the file goes? I've downloaded some coasters, tried both locations (program files (x86)/atari/rct3/coaster designs & my documents/rct3/coasters) and the coaster doesn't show up.

I've downloaded [CTR_B&M_Extended_Coaster]Fear of Heights.trk, tried both of those locations and I can't find it. What type of coaster will it be listed under? (I'm sure I will be seeing more of those so finding out now would be nice)

Also trying the coaster Phoenix.nltrack. It says in the read me file to open with the No Limits Editor. Is that in RCT3 or is it something else.

Sorry about being such a pest....
