Making custom scenery

so i really wanted the old entrance and exits for rollercoasters from rct2 on rct3. so i decided to create it in google sketchup 8 (yes i used an old version) but now im stuck, because i dont know how to transfer it into an OVL file. can someone help me/do it for me?

However, I think recreating those entrances is an amazing idea

I hope you will share your re-creation. Smile From time to time I try and learn how to do what you are doing, these are the websites and/tutorials on youtube I found that helped me.

okay, so i've figured out how to transfer it into an .ovl file, but i was using rct3 importer, and i had to put in the used textures. however, i used textures from google sketchup, and the importer can't read these textures! Is there a way to fix this?

I had problems using from google sketchup too. I found these set of textures from ralfvieh's cso's

I think texture files can only be a certain kind of file but not sure. Like I said I'm still in the learning stages of this myself.

so yeah. i tried and failed. i followed all the steps from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GX475SS720
maybe it is because of poor grouping? (according to the video i had to group all faces with the same textures.)
