RCT3 Sunbury Amusement Park - wip

I like it, it looks pretty, colourful, and the small things like the decorations hanging overhead from the bridges and the fences on top of the towers almost finish it.
I think it is Stationjim's Random Things that adds shop carts in Disney style, which would look nice around the fountain, and some trees on the sides would liven up the place as well, but I like where you're going, it's looking really well.

Thanks again. Smile
The details around the fountain area do need to be worked on I agree. I like your ideas again for it. I'm gonna have to give you and blu a little credit in my readme file when the park is done for your great suggestions. I'm trying to come up with a good layout on where to put trees and other items you suggested. Station Jim Jr's Random things is one of my favorite sets, I also have his gardening sets to use. I'm gonna need lots of feedback on the shrubbery because I'm not the best at it, but getting better.
More updates on Friday and on the weekend.

I'm more than happy to help, in any way I can. The community here has been great and helpful to me as well so I'm just returning the favour; I do not need credit for my help, ultimately it is you creating the park, not us Wink

I started adding some trees and other items from Station Jim Jr's Random Things and Gardening Sets. The sign is from Wagi Disney America Set. I'm still working on the shrubbery and other scenery items to add to the entrance. (Benches, trash cans, etc. More lighting by the fountain. Is the blue color to much for the fountain?

Entrance section is almost finished. Smile

That looks great, indeed, add some benches and trash cans and it looks pretty solid. The fountain, I think it looks better in red. It matches the side pavement and colours nicely with the water.

Which set did you use for the pavement? Is that Shiggs713's Path Covers?

I have mixed feelings about the graves - ultimately, a theme park is a fun place, but it's a nice gesture to honour the dead as well. You did set that up beautifully.

Thank you....
To answer your questions, I did use
Shiggs713's Expanded Path Covers http://www.customscenerydepot.com/index....;down=1124
and Main Street Set 5 for the brick work around the main path...

Also...
And truthfully I had mixed feelings about the graves and the soldiers in front. Perhaps adding them at a different area of the park would be better? Because you are right, a theme park is a fun place. I'm trying to make a park honoring those who served as well as a fun park remembering the past. I found a few cfr that are related to the theme and a few others I think would go well. I may make a small ctr. I was thinking a wooden coaster or a VEKOMA MK-700 because I can make it simple but fun. TimberLiner CTR or Maylene's Millennium Flyer's for the ctr. I'm also thinking the fountain and the memorial maybe to close together. Not really enough room for the peeps to look closely at the wall. So more edits to come. I did add the trash cans and benches. Not sure if I like how they look so I'll show another picture of that another time after I do more revisions. When I zoom out the cso start to disappear and I adjusted the graphic settings, but there is still a glitch.
As always appreciate the helpful feedback and compliments. Smile
fyi: I was thinking about having a train ride going by the memorial section and other parts of the park.

Well, it does fit if you make a history themed theme park. I'd suggest keeping it then, but set it at a different section of the park. Gravestones aren't exactly welcoming, if you catch my drift.
What does CTR/CFR mean?

I'm liking the idea of a park that remembers history, there's a lot that you can do with it, and a lot that hasn't really been done. Keen to see what the park turns out to be ^^

I like train rides around parks either way, perhaps you could add the gravestones at the entrance, but that's just me thinking out loud. Smile

Edit: thanks for the links, that adds some good new paths that I've been looking for. Cool

I'm glad I could give you some helpful links. CTR stands for Custom Tracks and CFR Stands for Custom Flat Rides. If you see CSO it stands for Custom Scenery Objects. I have a few more things to do with the entrance and then I'll work my way to the train ride part. (I think). I have a lot of building structures to make, fyi: many people use the abbreviations ctr, cfr, cso. and when sharing a rating of the rc (roller coaster) they usually go like this: E (Excitement), I (Intensity), N (Nausea) you probably new that, but just in case. A Train will be a challenge for me. I want to make it realistic like it would be in an actual park, but don't need it to be like a metra railway. Hope you know what I mean.

Thanks for clearing that up. I didn't know about the RC ratings either.

Me not being American, I'm not sure what makes Metra Railways special?
Or is it that they're not special at all?
If you want your train to take you from one section of the park to another, I suggest a forest to change park themes. That said, I'm not sure how you'll make your park so I can't help too much.

No Metra Railways nothing special. Just a train I take every now and then near my apartment. Here are some more updated pictures.
