Welp, as for me:

Rap is pretty trash, unless you're: M.C. Hammer, 2Pac, or DJ Khalid (Khalid for the memes only)

This new pop/techno/dance/whatever-you-call-the-garbage is pretty bad, stuff like Bieber... uh... New pop basically. I'd name more examples but I don't even know the artists.

Dubstep is kinda cringy at times...

Now as for what I actually listen to:

"Classic Rock" - my favorites are Boston, Rush, REO Speedwagon, Men at Work, and Kenny Loggins.

Southern Rock - Kansas and The Doobie Brothers are by far the best in my opinion.

"Classic" Metal - Deep Purple, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, and I'd throw Led Zeppelin in here too (although they do much more). - These are just my favorites btw.

Newer Rock - Shinedown, Three Days Grace, Saint Asonia, Volbeat, and Breaking Benjamin are probably my faves.

Disco - Bee Gee's

"Classic" Pop - Michael Jackson, Prince (Who doesn't love the two kings?), Rick Astley (not just for the memes), Pet Shop Boys.

Funk - Bootsy Collins, Kool & the Gang

There are only a handful of artists who have more than three songs that I have deemed playlist worthy.

Phil Collins: 15+ tracks
Thompson Twins: 7 tracks
Thomas Dolby: 6 tracks
Haywire: 6 tracks
Tears for Fears: 6 tracks
Bruce Springsteen: 5+ tracks
Devo: 5 tracks
R.E.M: 4+ tracks
Grum: 4 tracks

I have more interest in the song itself than the artist who performs it. Here are 25 of my favorite songs not by any of the artists listed above, categorized evenly into 5 different (liberal) genres.

Ratt - Round & Round

As a whole, I don't listen to much music. When I do it's mostly movie soundtracks. I can listen to almost anything except for Rap.

John Williams
Hans Zimmer
Michael Giacchino
Patrick Doyle

---Other---
ACDC
The Beatles
Bruce Springsteen
Chicago
Bon Jovi
Demi Lovato (Her "Confident" album isn't very good. I only have 2 on it, other than that, I have all her songs from every album).
Eagles
Europe
Journey
Led Zeppelin
Rachel Platten
The Piano Guys
3 Doors Down

Total of 135 songs.
