RE: Six Flags 2015 Coasters (and not the meteorite rides) - Cobra - Aug 31, 2014 Wicked Cylone -> not bad, an solid RMC, looks like fun Twisted Colossus -> great idea to combiend the old Colossus flair with new technology, but its to over hyped. the High-Five element isn't new, but it looks better with the 90° angle and its only one long track. That doesn't counts as an racing coaster. Racing Coasters like "Duelling Dragons" or "Gwazi" have two stations with two different ride feelings on each side/part. and with two stations/coaster the capacity could be better (four trains) Batman - The Ride -> i agree with Cheleste, fail of 2015, but better than this Looping Flatride bullshit that some other SixFlags Parks become 2015. I think it could be smoother than Intamin's "Zac-Spin"-Types, infact of the technology from X² they used on this. And well, its really a fact, that SixFlags gives only there better/bigger/popular parks the "grand" things, and the smaller ones become only this flatride looping thingy. Great idea, make the big ones bigger and the small ones more unpopular with this actions! Result is that more people wont buy an 2015-Season-Pass. So the Price for the stupidest management 2015 goes to "SixFlags". Soo long, Cobra RE: Six Flags 2015 Coasters (and not the meteorite rides) - SFFTman - Aug 31, 2014 (Aug 31, 2014, 12:41 AM)Cobra Wrote: Batman - The RideWhy does everyone think it is so bad? I Think it looks really good. Lets say that its not a coaster and its a flat ride with coaster parts. Will it still be fun to ride? Just because its not a legit "Coaster" doesn't mean its not fun to ride. Honestly I would rather have this than another run of the mill coaster that is at every park. But I understand what you're saying, and it's hard to be excited about a coaster that is not at your home park. As good as Wicked Cyclone and Twisted Colossus are, these RMC's are getting a wee bit repetative. RE: Six Flags 2015 Coasters (and not the meteorite rides) - rccoa coasters - Aug 31, 2014 All I have to say is... Tell me one way Batman: The Ride is a fail. RE: Six Flags 2015 Coasters (and not the meteorite rides) - Rudy18 - Aug 31, 2014 The only way I see batman as a fail is the name, but the coaster itself isnt that bad. I more see those looping dragon "coasters" as a fail, since they are basic fairground rides six flags is deciding to call a "coaster". RE: Six Flags 2015 Coasters (and not the meteorite rides) - nathan8848 - Aug 31, 2014 So will Colossus have 2 stations or 1 since the ride goes through both sides? If only 1, then the capacity of the ride will be bad, unless they can fit more then 4 trains. Also Colossus will only duel the first month, then back to the regular operations. RE: Six Flags 2015 Coasters (and not the meteorite rides) - Cheleste - Sep 1, 2014 @ nathan nathan8848: Twisted Colossus has only one station with three trains on it. One train in the station, the other two syncrosized on the track. The speed on both lifthills can be adjusted, so that both trains reach at the same time the top of it. This should be work fine. But i don't like this only one station thing. Two stations with four trains could do more ride capacity and if one side are broken down, the other side can still work without syncro. If Twisted Colossus brokes down in the future the whole coaster stands still with his 4990 ft lenght. @Rudy18 & rccoa: Rudy19, your right infact of the name. That is like i said a fail. And the people who dont likes this Intamin "Zac-Spin clone", like i do, don't say this couldn't be fun. But the fact is that this Zac-Spin 4D designs are more an flatride than a coaster! You can call it "Floorless Top-Spin on a Coaster-Rail", because it isn't any more. The kind of rotations are exactly the same that the people have on an Top-Spin/Graviton flatride. Maybe this little airtime that you have makes the differents on it. Against this looping flatride orange that most other SixFlags will become 2015, Batman - the Ride is a blessing I would ride a 4D Zac-Spin more than this boring looping thingy! We havent gotten a single NEW COASTER so far under six flags (relocations dont count). And the last 5 years yields investments each less than 3,000,000 dollars. And before six flags, we got coasters every other year: 93 was batman 95 was viper 96 was skull mountain 97 was robin and chilller 99 was the addition of 3 COASTERS. medusa, bltt, and rrr 01 was nitro 03 was superman 05 was kingda ka 06 was el toro and when six flags comes in 09 green lantern SERIOUSLY ONE COASTER IN 8 YEARS?!?!?!? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU RE: Six Flags 2015 Coasters (and not the meteorite rides) - rccoa coasters - Sep 23, 2014 But if you compare Batman to a Zac-spin, Batman is actually a whole lot bigger and better and more deserves the name of a coaster to me. RE: Six Flags 2015 Coasters (and not the meteorite rides) - Pineracer - Sep 24, 2014 you forgot dark night witch was 2008, Kentucky kingdom did not close till 2010 and green lantern opened in 2011 so its only about 4 years from lantern but you're about right for "new new" coasters. |
