Let me explain...
GSmuscle wrote this prodigious (if you don't know it, look it up in the dictionary, I had to do so as well) amount of text about his computer graphics card etc. which were superb, but that he also lagged in night-time.
Now I wrote this "metaphoric" text, about giving your computer energy drinks (the great cards for the comp. etc.), but that it'll still lags as if you got a baseball against your leg (which hurts, so you're going slow as well).

Sorry about the Techno Babble there lol...
majored in computer science yeah I'm a nerd. Anyways the truth is the actual program isn't written efficient enough to actually utilize the hardware you have in your machine. Too many things happening at the same time, try lowering your graphics modes and environment settings, even sound plays a role in the slow downs. Make sure your not using ONboard sound on your motherboard, that's one of the hardest things on your computer processor. Dual core processors make no difference in the games since it doesn't even use the other core. Ram may make some difference try upgrading to at least 2GIGs. Off loading most of the processing away from the CPU such as more memory on your video card 512mb may cure some of the lag but eventually the bigger you make the park and the more settings you turn on to make the park more realistic the harder it is on the computer. One thing you can try is to build parks in the Sandbox mode and manually set Daylight at all times or use nighttime when you want to see your fireworks.
