The Greater One insisted i use those and put bottoms on my high stations lol she was afraid they would fall... so any tutorials be good been 20 years since i have ridden one so RL is no help lol RE: Rollercoaster Tutorials? - Frankedj - Feb 12, 2014 With only slowing down you use regular brakes. With building a blocked coaster use block brakes. To make a limited speed multiple LIM coaster use block brakes. Block brakes only go up to 67.11 mph. If you want your coaster to go faster than that using block brakes use them up high and shoot your train down a hill. It will give you a higher speed. If building a blocked coaster you can use the coasters control panel as you build the ride to monitor the trains speed using the graph. This helps in setting the block brake speed when entering the next blocked section so your train moves through the brake section smoothly without it slowing down or speeding up. This is a very good tutorial on building a blocked coaster. http://www.shyguysworld.com/index.php/topic,2398.msg53822.html#msg53822 When I use either I space them out leaving a piece of flat track between them and increase or decrease the speed of each one by 2 to 4 mph so you get a more gradual deceleration or acceleration instead of a quick jerking motion. You can use CS LIMS to cover the block brakes and the gaps between them so it looks like one continuos LIM. Most people use ATH Catwalks. They can be used with the coaster nets or their own center floor sections. Coaster Goodies is helpful, it has the LIM cover that I use. Coaster Essentials: Brakes has every style of brake you can imagine to put over your normal brakes. There are two different versions of Weber's Aged Footers. V2.1 is recolorable. You can get all of his CS on his website here. http://velvetskyemusic.com/RCT3_files/cso.html He also has all of MGP's(MyGirlPepper) stuff there under the "Other" tab. RE: Rollercoaster Tutorials? - v1210 - Feb 12, 2014 wow many thanks frankedj a plethora of info im pleased and can i get a cutting of that vine from The Poison sounds like something DR. BoldFinger may want to examine RE: Rollercoaster Tutorials? - Frankedj - Feb 12, 2014 The vines going up the supports are from the CS set Vines by The_Cook. The set has a lot of different pieces for curved walls, flat walls and other stuff. They will be located in with the Walls and Roofs. You can get it here. http://www.customscenerydepot.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=1837 The hanging ivy is from the Fisherman's Enchanted Forest CS set. It will be located under Walls and Roofs. http://www.customscenerydepot.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=1308 The conforming ground cover ivy is in with the Fisherman's set but it is located under Foliage. Read the instructions if you want to use the animated butterflies in the Fisherman's set to get it to work right. Using too many of them can cause game lag. They're beautiful and realistic but unfortunately using any of Fisherman's animated stuff in a huge busy park will cause it to crash. I only use block brakes occasionally and never use blocked track sections but have downloaded the tutorial you recommended Frankedj so I could know more about it. |
