Neilman Amusements - Kinderly - Nov 4, 2012

Hi everyone I am Henri Berman. I have recently moved from Maine down to Maryland. My mother is sick and she needs all the help she can get.

In Maine I was a mechanic for an amusement park named Oakwood Amusement Park.

I managed the roller coaster named Century. It was a sort of well paying job. $7 an hour.

I've moved to a town in the Maryland Countryside. The apartment I'm living in is quite small.

Across from the street is the town church. I guess I need to go there on Sundays. Smile

I've also heard there's an amusement park here. I'll have to see if I can apply for a job there.

This isn't a side project. Wink It is a permanent park.

For some reason the rail closest to you in the second pic looks so real.

Thanks Alex!

Just a small little update. After getting into my new apartment, the moving trucks came, and while moving my couch to the window, I saw what looked like a large wooden racing coaster next to a parking lot.

I guess this is the park I heard of. I'll check in with the admin office tomorrow to apply for a job.

So I was going down to the local amusement park to apply for a job as a mechanic. When I got down there I noticed something very peculiar. The parking lot was empty, and there was a very eerie silence.

I just don't understand. It's a Saturday and the park is completely silent. What's going on?

I walked back up to the church, and asked the bishop what was going on. After I asked the question he glared at me and said in a deep intimidating voice" We do not speak of that monstrosity here."

This is a very strange town. I asked my neighbor about it and he took me to the backlot of the apartment. He told me that the church shut the park down because it was disturbing the peace.

And the racing coaster looked so cool....

The only problem with the first picture is the sky. It goes all the way to the bottom of the coaster without stopping. Read step 4 in this thread:

There's only one thing I can do. Me and 21 other church members will boycott the church, and hopefully they will take back the decision to close the park.

One thing i want to know is, how did a tiny little church close such a big park?

RE: Neilman Amusements - Kinderly - Nov 6, 2012

Well the church baisically, or mentally own the town in that everyone believes that they should follow the church. When the park was built, they thought nothing of it until they expanded with the racing coaster. That's when they thought it was both disturbing the peace, and the coaster was a death trap. They filed a lawsuit with the park and somehow the park lost the battle. The mechanics, handymen, and some local park lovers keep the park maintained though (unlike Oakwood).
