Maybe you should check to make sure that if you used any CFRs, CTRs, or CSs that they are still installed properly. I'm not an expert, but it is worth a shot! And if it is a custom download issue, then it might also be best if you uninstall that particular custom item/custom item set and scan for a virus on your machine.

Although it happens less frequently in RCT3 than it did in RCT2 every once in a while due to no fault of our own a game file will spontaneously corrupt at some point before or during a save. You may find that after optimizing & cleaning up your system, scanning the park file for missing CS (that you just might have uninstalled and then forgot) and using Park CleanUp that this file still won’t open.

In my experience it happens about once every 500 saves. This is an estimated figure – I haven’t actually done any of the math.

I save all work I’m doing at least once every five minutes. That way if the game crashes or if the file corrupts there is no great hardship going back one iteration and losing about five minutes of work.

Where you’ve written “every other park works fine” does this mean you have already tried successfully opening previous iterations of Ducky Park? If not then you should try that.

If I am not mistaken, try to reduce your saved game(s) and try to load again. This one works for me. If this doesn't work, I reduce those CS I've download.

That’s a very good point Azo and one I’ve overlooked. Sometimes I will work on a park and I know the park is huge & busy and that it flogs my CPU, RAM, graphics card and game engine. Let’s call it the ABC Example Park. Although demanding of resources ABC is not laggy nor is it any problem.

Between the time I last played ABC and the next time I open it I might install, say, 25 CS sets, then a week or two later when I go to open ABC, because those extra 25 CS sets are there and have been loaded during game launch into ABC as resources ABC is now a bit laggy – it will open and I can play the park just like I could before the influx of 25 new CS sets but it will be noticeably laggy.

So Azo your thought is certainly another option.

I have to admit I’ve never noticed a difference with the number of saved parks reflecting on the lagginess of a park or affecting whether or not it can be opened. You’ve indicated you’ve had success with this, Azo, but I’m not quite sure if this would make a difference because saved parks are not loaded as resources during launch but are accessed after launch as files just like structures are. While I agree to Azo’s suggestion being another option to be tried, if you were to try this option Rccoa I’d recommend saving your parks to another folder instead of deleting them.

Plus, if your CS has a lot of polygons in it. AND your computer might having a low memory/RAM!

I've noticed that the more that is saved for the RTC3 game, the more time it takes to load before it even gets to the main menu. It usually occurs at the blue screen to run super slow, especially when CS, CTRs, or CFRs have been added
