I have only been playing for a few months now but today I started some serious crashing while building in a custom scenario. I tried everything I could think of to make it stop happening. I did everything listed in this thread too. Nothing worked but I finally figured it out.

The park I am working on has a Paradise theme going. I used torches. A lot of torches. Over a thousand torches. The park opened at 7 am and closed at 2 am. Both together caused the crashes. One without the other still caused the crashes. I deleted every last torch and set the park hours to 8 am to 7 pm. The crashes stopped. I was able to continue using my initial install, game saves and all of my CS.

It took me all day today to figure it out. I have put too much effort into this park to lose it. The walls and roof pieces used are in the tens of thousands. I also noticed lags in the game when using a lot of the sci-fi neon lamps.

Yeh, that'll do it ... thousands of lights and/or hundreds of jumping fountains. Before you took out all the torches your park must have been something to see at night!
