THNAKS SO MUCH ATLANTIS AND FRANKEDJ...the castle sets are opening up just fine! Now to figure out HOW TO build the castle itself...is there a blueprint of the castle somewhere or do you just use pics?
Now my next problem is with firework displays...Wishes.fwd...when I load them and put them in the display folder and put the music in music folder, I go to check it and its not there! What am I doing wrong? Are these folders different than CS folders?

You’re very welcome. Unfortunately you’ve just gotten over the easy part. There aren’t any blueprints as such. There are all sorts of places on the internet you can view images to get ideas of what you might like to build. If you want to see images of castles select a popular search site, select to search for images, then type in “castle,” it’s as simple as that. Or perhaps you might want Bavarian castles, or Moorish castles then you search using those words.

If you really would prefer a blueprint the next best thing would be to look at Belotto’s images. I have downloaded his structure files but they’re not compatible with my game so I can’t use them. Perhaps you might have better luck. Belotto’s images are particularly helpful because they show you just what can be done with what sets. From his posts I’ve read he seems to be a family guy with lots on his plate and I don’t know where he finds the time. You can get Belotto’s stuff through SGW.

Another thing that will help is practice practice practice. Not every park you open will end up a masterpiece and there will be lots of experimentation needed on your part to get results you like. And never underestimate the importance of saving most of what you do as a structure. Even if you intend to trash the park save most if not all of what you’ve put into it.

Instead of building something ten times in a workbench park if you’ve built it once you can save it as a structure and then drop the structure into your park ten times and get a head start with your trials that way. Eventually you’ll find you can’t simply put everything into the one structures folder and that you’ll end up with directories inside of directories inside of directories. I have thousands of items saved and, added all together, they probably represent weeks of work I’ll never have to repeat.

No one gets the results they want using the pieces in a single set to build one structure. Some of the great RCT3 work you see on the internet could contain anywhere from twenty sets to two hundred. Eventually you’ll get to the point where you realize you can’t get by with the five hundred sets in your Themed folder and you will clear out about twenty of them because those twenty have in them only one piece that you might use one day – then later that week you’ll download a hundred more and weed through them and install only fifty of those.

Finally, when you’re ready for critique take screenshots of your work and post them in the appropriate threads on this site. Take all critique knowing that your work is being judged by others’ standards, knowing that what they say is usually meant to be helpful and mindful that you are the one who will pick and choose which parts of what comments you’ll apply to your future work. Nobody’s critique is carved in stone.

Again, welcome to our community and welcome to RCT3. Happy building!

Belotto's structures are very top notch but they require a ton of CS for them to work since they are very very detailed and built with many sets. I downloaded all of them from his CS list and some are very hard to find since not all of the links are still active. His list has 121 CS sets.

This is the link to his thread at SGW. http://www.shyguysworld.com/index.php/topic,3225.0.html

Frankedj or Atlantis...

When the style/theme folder is full in the box how do you keep downloading files to it?(I know its a stupid question, but I don't know the techy side of computers!)

Some people have thousands of sets of CS. It never gets full. It just takes longer for the game to load the more you have and it also takes longer to find what you are looking for.

If the Style/Themed folder indicates it’s full while downloading something’s not as it should be – you shouldn’t be getting any messages about this folder during downloads.

As Frankedj says that folder should never be in a condition that it’s considered to be full so that’s another indication something’s not right.

Downloads should be going into a folder created or selected by your download manager or if you don’t have one of those they should be going into a folder of your choice.

Perhaps you’re out of disk space. How much space is left on your disk?

FTA:
If you are talking about the hard drive, see I told you guys I am illiterate when it comes to this thing called a computer, ...
Drive C: 865GB of 911GB
Drive E: 1.71GB of 1.86GB(removable)
RCT: 0 of 651MB
So if that tells ya anything please let me know! LOL!

If I’m reading it correctly you’ve written that Drive C (your hard drive) has 911GB on it of which 865GB has been used. If this is right it means you have 46GB left on that disk to use. If your disk is heavily fragmented there may actually be less than this available for the system to write data in.

When was the last time you did a defrag?

Drive E looks like a 2GB flash drive that’s already full. Hopefully the files are not trying to download into your flash drive because there's nowhere in there for them to fit.

I’m not sure what RCT 0 out of 651MB means

I don't know what to suggest now except that you ask a tech-y mate to look over your system log reports and to check your downloader or download settings.
